The Cluj-Napoca Art Museum (MACN) is organising the solo exhibition MEMORIA CULORII (The Memory of Colour), featuring works by the artist Rodica Olteanu (painting, graphic art, icons), from 29 September to 11 October 2026. The opening took place on Tuesday 29 September 2026 at 17:00, with guests Ionuț Țene, Florin Țene, Cristian Moldovan, Claudiu Pădurean and Ana Pandrea, along with the presentation of several of the artist's books. The museum's hosts were Lucian Nastasă Kovacs, the institution's manager, and Florin Gherasim, museum curator.
Rodica Olteanu graduated from the "Ion Andreescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca, painting department, class of 1973. She has had solo exhibitions in Romania, Spain, Greece and the Republic of Moldova, and her works are held in museums and collections in several countries. She has also painted icons, restored iconostases and, between 1979 and 1990, worked at the Buftea studios, designing the sets for several films.
The exhibition is retrospective in character and includes approximately 90 works.
