Elderly Day @Timișoara • Going to the theatre with our grandchildren

On 1 October, from 1:00pm, at the Merlin Theatre for Children and Young People in Timișoara, International Day of Older Persons is celebrated with a show for all ages, as part of the "Zile cu Sens" programme. Grandparents are invited together with their grandchildren to the show "Sperietoarea de Păsări" (The Scarecrow), directed by Adela Moldovan, a story about patience and unexpected friendship told from the perspective of a scarecrow forgotten at the edge of a field.

Set design is by Marian Sandu, music by Lucian Nagy and Ștefan Olariu, and the cast includes Adina Doba and Lenuța Dorobanțu. Admission is free, subject to availability, and registration is done by email at events@potsaajut.ro, stating the participant's name; the initiative is carried out with the support of Asociația Provident pentru Educație and Provident România as part of the INVIZIBILII programme, and those interested in volunteering can write to voluntar@potsaajut.ro.
