Scheherazade by N. R. Korsakov / Bodies & Emotions

The Romanian National Opera in Timișoara presents a double bill of two ballets: Scheherazade, a one-act ballet set to the music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, based on the story from the "1001 Nights", conducted by Radu Zaharia, with choreography by Carmen Cojocaru and set design by Geta Medinski, featuring Carla Dukai, Gustavo Ferreira, Antonin Faraut, Mirabela Zonai, Alexandru Pîntea and Darius Agrima, together with the Opera's orchestra and ballet ensemble, in collaboration with students from the choreography department of the "Ion Vidu" Art High School. Recommended age is 6+.

The second ballet, Bodies & Emotions, is a neoclassical piece set to recorded music (Ramin Djawadi, Philip Glass, Hans Zimmer and others), choreographed and directed by Ovidiu Matei Iancu, exploring the connection between body and emotion through movement; it contains strobe effects and is not recommended for people with photosensitivity.
