ROMEO AND JULIET - Cluj Napoca

The play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, directed by Toma Enache and produced by Pepino Popescu — the team behind the success of "O scrisoare pierdută" — takes place on 26 October 2026, from 19:00, at the "Dumitru Fărcaș" Students' Cultural Centre in Cluj-Napoca. The classical staging uses 8 projection screens and 3 video projectors to recreate Verona, blending theatre with the visual language of film, and includes almost 50 period costumes, costume design by Alina Dincă Pușcașu, set design by Maria Dore and video design by Silviu Apostol.

The cast includes Andrei Neagoe (Romeo), Ioana Brumar / Gia Tițoiu (Juliet), Monica Davidescu (the Nurse), Aurelian Temișan (Capulet), Ovidiu Cuncea (Friar Laurence), Adrian Nartea (Escalus), Teodora Calagiu (Lady Capulet), Marius Rizea (Montague), Cosmin Vîjeu (Peter), Dan Istrate (Mercutio), Emanuel Varga (Benvolio), Radu Bănică (Paris), Ștefan Pîrnuș (Tybalt) and Silviu Oltean (Abraham), bringing together established actors, names from the Bucharest National Theatre and a new generation of artists.
