Long Day's Journey Into Night

The play “Long Day's Journey Into Night”, after Eugene O'Neill, translated by Mihaela Negrilă and dramatised by Mihaela Panainte, takes place on 30 September, from 19:00, at the “Lucian Blaga” National Theatre. Built as a gradual descent from reality into memory, the production uses a stage space organised into three layers – the Hall, the threshold and the House/Studio of memory – in which the characters appear as “living photographs” activated by the speech of Edmund, narrator and witness of his own reconstruction of the past. The premiere took place on 14 June 2026; the running time is 2h 10min, the age recommendation is 14+, and tickets are available on the theatre's website.
