The "Dumitru Fărcaș" Foundation organises the 8th edition of the festival of the same name, dedicated to instrumentalists specialising in Romanian folklore, under the theme "Try". On 22 October, from 18:00, at Sala Radio in Cluj-Napoca, the National Instrumental Performance Competition takes place, with soloists aged 16 to 30, from the country and from Romanian communities in Vojvodina, the Timok Valley, Chernivtsi, the Herța region, Transcarpathia (Ukraine) and the Republic of Moldova; admission for the public is free.
On 23 October, from 18:00, at the "Dumitru Fărcaș" Students' Cultural House, the festival Gala takes place, with the announcement of the winners. Tickets for the two days are sold on the Entertix platform at a single price of 30 lei.
On Saturday, 24 October, on the Edison House of Music stage, the event "When Jazz Meets Taragot" takes place, with Michal Marcus – taragot, Andrei Mânzat – piano, Vitályos Lehel – double bass and Frankie Ercsei – percussion, in a 200-seat hall; tickets are to go on sale at the beginning of October.
