SoNoRo Festival 21 – "Melodia infinită" – an edition inspired by Richard Wagner

The 21st edition of the SoNoRo Festival, titled "Melodia infinită" (The Infinite Melody) and dedicated to Richard Wagner, runs from 30 October to 15 November 2026 in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, with 20 concerts and 35 international artists. In Cluj-Napoca the festival takes place from 10 to 15 November 2026, with six concerts and a SoNoRo Talk meeting.

The opening concert in Cluj, "Alte Weise – The Ancient Melody", is on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, at 7:00 pm, at Casino – the Urban Culture Centre, featuring works by Wagner, Vaughan Williams and Ravel, performed by violinists Anna-Liisa Bezrodny and Barnabás Kelemen, cellist Jan-Erik Gustafsson, pianists Diana Ketler and Konstantin Lifschitz, mezzo-soprano Roxana Constantinescu and bass-baritone Pauls Putnins. The closing concert, "Melodia infinită" (The Infinite Melody), takes place on Sunday, 15 November 2026, at 7:00 pm, at the Auditorium Maximum of Babeș-Bolyai University, featuring works by Wagner, Mozart and Brahms.

Other concert venues in Cluj include Casa Boema, the Evangelical-Lutheran Church, Oberjin Club, Casa NUMAÀ and, for the first time, the Franciscan Monastery. Early Bird tickets and subscriptions, with a 15% discount, are available from 21 September to 11 October 2026; UniCredit Bank cardholders enjoy a permanent 20% discount on Eventbook.ro, while pensioners, students, pupils and people with disabilities get a 50% discount, with tickets also available at Florin Piersic Cinema in Cluj-Napoca.
