Beginner-intermediate hike: Discover the Autumn Colours of the Cozia Mountains

A beginner-to-intermediate level hike organised by TerraMont in the Cozia Mountains, on Saturday 26 September, meeting at 10:00am at Stanisoara Monastery and setting off on the trail at 10:15am. The circular route passes through Vf. Ciuha Mica, Cozia Cabin and Vf. Ciuha Mare, covers 13 km, with an elevation difference of 1000 m (ascent and descent), and takes approximately 7-8 hours, with an estimated return to the cars around 6:00pm.

The trail is accessible even to those without mountain experience, but requires a basic level of physical fitness (regular walks of 7500 steps/day, light aerobic exercise, body mass index under 30); the authorised guide is Roxana Mandric (certificate no. 6772). Standard hiking equipment is required (hiking boots, layered clothing, a rain cape, a sun hat, 2 litres of water, a head torch, a 35-45 l backpack, packed food).

The organisers provide authorised guiding, collective safety equipment (first aid kit, self-defence spray, communication radios) and mountain consultancy, but do not include transport, accommodation, food or insurance; transport can be arranged through a ridesharing group or, on request, by minibus from Cluj-Napoca. Cancellation at least 5 days in advance allows a full refund.
