A little night of Portuguese conservas, cold vermouth, Nicolas Jaar and conversations worth opening a tin over, on Friday, October 16, from 6 to 10 PM at The Square One, Ploiești 22. The plate includes Manná Portuguese sardines, crispy smashed potatoes with sardine oil and herbs, pickled red onion, sourdough, whipped butter with smoked paprika, olives, pickle gilda and charred lemon.
In the glass are Del Chiaro white vermouth and Mamaia red vermouth, or a vermouth spritz with sparkling wine, orange and olives. Manná has made Portuguese conservas in Algarve since 1954, while Del Chiaro is a modern Romanian vermouth made with Tămâioasă Românească and Fetească Neagră, and Mamaia is a Romanian vermouth classic since the 1960s.
The ticket costs 79 RON and includes the full sardine plate, one vermouth cocktail and dessert. Seats are limited.
