REGAL VIENEZ – Extraordinary Christmas Concert - Timișoara - 20:00

The extraordinary Christmas concert "Regal Vienez" takes place on 14 December 2026, from 20:00, at the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara. Instrumentalists from the Orchestra di Teatro d'Opera Italiana and the Vox Opera Orchestra play under the conductor and violinist Bogdan Costache, who conducts "with the violin in hand", in the manner of Johann Strauss and André Rieu. The programme includes waltzes, polkas and can-can, Romanian and international carols, pieces receiving their national premiere and lesser-known Romanian music, with works by Strauss, Franz Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán.

The Vox Opera Choir and Ballet complete the show, with choreography by Vlad Sebastian. The young guitarist Gabriel Popescu performs alongside his teacher, Mădălin Antonesei. The guest soloists from Austria, Italy and Switzerland were to be announced later.
