Părinte Implicat_#Citesc Reading Club – pupils in Years 4 and 5 (classes III–IV)

The #Citesc reading club for pupils in the 3rd and 4th grades (classes III and IV) takes place on 14 October 2026 at 18:10, at the Cărturești Mercy bookshop, 7 Florimund Mercy Street, Timișoara. Admission is free. The event, organised monthly by the Părinte Implicat Association, rewards the children who accepted the challenge of reading a book after the September club, but it is open to other children too.

Each child comes with the books they have read over the past month and presents one of them in 2–3 minutes: the title, the author, the illustrator, what the book is about in one sentence and why they recommend it. For the other books, only the title and author are mentioned. Adults may stay in the room, separately from the pupils. The club is organised separately for primary, lower secondary and upper secondary pupils, in 3 rounds, and the age group given in the title must be respected.

Each child who presents a book receives a Cărturești voucher of 30/35 lei, if donations are collected before the event. On their first attendance, children receive a #Citesc T-shirt; the organiser asks for a WhatsApp message, at the latest one day before, with the child's first name, F/B (girl/boy), age and approximate size. Small prizes from donors may be added, and gifts brought by participants are welcome. Participants are asked to mark Going, Maybe or Can't go, so that enough prizes can be prepared.
