Behind the Pavillion | Hubert Hasler | META Spațiu

The opening of the exhibition "Behind the Pavillion" by Hubert Hasler, curated by Denise Parizek, takes place on Thursday, 1 October, from 18:30, at META Spațiu, B-dul Mihai Viteazu no. 1, Timișoara, with free admission. The exhibition brings together works from different stages of the artist's practice alongside the recent projects "Eurydike, where is the Snake?" and "I wanna be Tree", produced in 2026 during a residency in Sinemorets, Bulgaria, as well as a new sculptural work created especially for Timișoara.

Starting from the philosophy of ecology, Hasler explores through photography, video, installation and sculpture themes such as climate change, migration, belonging and the boundaries between "native" and "foreign", including in the series "Behind the Pavilion" (Venice) and "#overrun" (Korea, Malta, Maldives). The exhibition is supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum.
