The 8 best places for brunch in Iași
Eggs Benedict, shakshuka, manakeesh and pancakes: eight brunch spots in Iași, from Harmony Cafe in Copou to Piața Unirii, with what to order and opening hours.
- Places
- 8 spots for brunch, from Copou to Piața Unirii
- Our pick
- Harmony Cafe, 4.7 on Google from nearly 2,000 reviews
- Budget
- 25–60 lei for a brunch plate at most places; under 20 lei at Cafeneaua Noastră
- Best time
- Saturday morning; Harmony is closed on Sundays
Iași does not yet have dozens of places devoted solely to breakfast, as Bucharest or Cluj do, and it shows: many of the best morning plates are found in bistros and restaurants that, later in the day, serve burgers, Lebanese mezze or sushi. But brunch has caught on here too. You can have eggs Benedict with truffles in Copou, shakshuka and za'atar manakeesh on Piața Unirii, lavender pancakes at a coffee roastery and all-day breakfast until late in the evening, right in the centre.
For this guide we read the ratings and reviews on Google Maps (checked on 7 October 2026), TripAdvisor and the local press, and went through the menus each venue publishes, on its website or on delivery apps, so we can tell you not just where to go but also what to order once you get there. The Google rating is the starting point, not the verdict: a 4.7 from nearly two thousand opinions says more than a 5 from a hundred, and an excellent specialty coffee shop is not necessarily a good place for brunch.
Under each name you will find the rating, address and opening hours from Google Maps, read on 7 October 2026. Prices are those on the menus the venues publish, where they exist, and may change.
1. Harmony Cafe: our pick, in Copou
4.7from 1,984 Google reviews: 4.7 out of 5 stars
Bulevardul Carol I 27 on Google Maps
- Monday–Saturday
- 8:30–22:00
- Sunday
- closed
Ask anyone in Iași where to get a good brunch and the name you will hear most often is Harmony. The café on Bulevardul Carol I, in the heart of Copou, has been chosen by the magazine Zile și Nopți as the Iași address for both breakfast and brunch, and it has the best combination in this guide: 4.7 from nearly two thousand opinions on Google, more than any other place devoted to the morning.
Harmony describes itself as a “bistro, specialty coffee, brunch” spot, and after nine years as a café, the same team has also started its own roastery, ECCE Coffee Roasters, at the same address on Carol I 27.
What to order
- eggs Benedict or avocado toast, the classics you see in customers' photos
- Egg & Jam Club: brioche, bacon jam, poached eggs and hollandaise, one of the new dishes the café has announced
- a Bacon & Egg sandwich, for a quicker breakfast
- pancakes with forest fruits, with berry purée and vanilla ice cream (40 lei on the delivery menu), the dish Google marks as popular, or pancakes with banana, chocolate and peanuts (34 lei)
- to drink: a flat white (18 lei), a V60 (25 lei) or, while it is still warm, a cold brew tonic (27 lei)
The brunch menu served in the café is not published with prices; those above come from the delivery menu, and in the café they may be slightly different.
The vibe: calm and balanced, with a simple, pretty interior and a shaded garden in summer. It is the right place for an unhurried brunch with friends or a date after a walk around Copou.
What people praise
- the staff, kind and attentive, mentioned in review after review
- the pancakes, the house's most popular dishes on Google
- the pleasant atmosphere and the garden, on warm days
- value for money
Good to know
- it is closed on Sundays: weekend brunch here means Saturday
- not everyone leaves happy: a recent review, by a long-time regular, describes a bad evening with the service
- budget: 40–60 lei per person
Why it comes first: it is the place people in Iași recommend first for brunch, it has one of the highest ratings in town on a large volume of opinions and, after all these years, it now roasts its own coffee.
2. Boho by London: shakshuka and manakeesh on Piața Unirii
4.8from 1,558 Google reviews: 4.8 out of 5 stars
Piața Unirii 2 (Hotel Traian) on Google Maps
- Daily
- 10:00–01:00
The highest rating among the big places on the list. Boho by London opened on 7 October 2022 on the ground floor of the Hotel Traian, on Piața Unirii, as a gastro-pub with Lebanese and international cooking, after a first seasonal venue in the Sărărie neighbourhood. In the evening it is a place for cocktails and grills, but the menu opens with a whole page of egg dishes and carries on with manakeesh, the baked Lebanese flatbreads that the menu calls “a natural continuation after eggs”.
What to order
- Classic Shakshoukah: poached eggs in a sauce of tomatoes, peppers, onion and garlic, with pita (44 lei)
- Beef Shakshoukah, with minced beef, cherry tomatoes and green pepper (52 lei)
- Manakeesh Za'atar: flatbread baked with olive oil and za'atar (33 lei), for sharing at the table
- Eggs and Potatoes: fried potato cubes, scrambled eggs, parsley and spices (32 lei)
- Veggie-Cheese Omelette or Italian Omelette, with mozzarella and parmesan (26 lei each), the cheapest plates on the menu
The vibe: warm and welcoming, right in the centre of town, with a terrace in the warm season. Good for a late brunch with friends that can stretch into lunch.
What people praise
- the atmosphere and the terrace, right on Piața Unirii
- the Lebanese cooking, rare in Iași
- special evenings, such as the iftar during Ramadan, praised by one guest
Good to know
- it opens at 10:00, so it is not for breakfast before work
- not everyone is convinced: a few recent reviews find the food merely “ok” for a restaurant of its standing
- it is a restaurant, not a breakfast bistro: the rest of the menu, with grills and evening dishes, is much more expensive
- budget: 30–60 lei per person for brunch
3. Orange Beanie: a coffee roastery and eggs Benedict made from scratch
5.0from 215 Google reviews: 5.0 out of 5 stars

- budget: 40–60 lei per person

- the staff, professional and friendly
- the long opening hours, rare for a brunch spot
Good to know

5. Cafeneaua Noastră: panini and peanut butter cookies from 7:00

A small neighbourhood café (the name means “our café”) next to Palas, which describes itself as “a complete universe, from coffee to the perfect brunch”. You will not find eggs Benedict here, but an Italian-style breakfast done well: panini, tramezzini, focaccia and tarts, alongside a coffee from the house blend of Brazil and Ethiopia, with “a taste of raw chocolate and a slightly floral finish”. It is the cheapest breakfast in this guide, and the earliest.
What to order

- a flatbread with mixed cheeses: mozzarella, cream cheese, brie and brânză de burduf, a sharp Romanian sheep's cheese (15.90 lei)

What people praise
- the coffee and the “homemade-tasting” sweets
- the mortadella flatbreads
- the low prices
Good to know
- it closes at 17:00
- it is not the place for a hearty brunch with eggs, but for a quick, good breakfast
- budget: 20–40 lei per person

A perfect rating, so far from just over a hundred opinions. rit. tabieturi urbane (“urban habits”) is a bistro on Strada Cuza Vodă, at the same address as Gist, one of the cafés in our coffee guide, and its menu opens with a page simply titled “All-day breakfast”: you can order eggs at dinnertime too.
