Festivalul cu Umbrele® – 8th edition, 26–27 September 2026

From 26 to 27 September 2026, under the Octav Băncilă Bridge, in the Țigarete area of Iași, the Association of Citizens Involved in the Community Iași (ACIC Iași) is organising the 8th edition of the Festivalul cu Umbrele®, under the theme "RegenerARTE – Art, people and living spaces", marking ten years since the concept was launched. The programme includes traditional competitions, costume parades, creative and educational workshops, outdoor sport and dance, as well as live concerts with local and regional artists.

In preparation for the festival, residents of Iași are invited to take part in an upcycling initiative: old or unused umbrellas, creatively decorated with messages of inclusion and solidarity, can be brought to Casa ArtIS up to and including 25 September 2026, and will become part of the festival's decor.
