Essential Iași - free walking tour

The Iași.Travel Association organises free English-language walking tours, lasting about 2 hours, on Saturdays at 10:00 throughout the year and on Tuesdays at 18:00 from April to October. The meeting point is Union Square, in front of the statue of Alexandru Ioan Cuza (it is recommended to check the exact spot due to works in the area), and the route ends at the Palace of Culture and the Palas complex. The guides are volunteers, mostly students and graduates of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, and the tour includes a presentation of 10 historic landmarks in the centre of Iași (Union Square, Miron Costin Square, the National Theatre and Opera House, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Moldavia, the Roman Catholic Diocese, the Trei Ierarhi Monastery, the Palace of Culture) plus useful recommendations for visitors.

Participation is based on a voluntary contribution (tip); for groups of more than 25 people, other dates/times or tours in other languages (Romanian, French, Italian), contact the organisers via Messenger or at contact@iasi.travel.
