On Friday, 2 October 2026, from 18:00, at the Studio J Hall - Casa Pogor in Iași, the debate "O operațiune sub steag fals" ("A False Flag Operation") takes place, moderated by George Pleșu, with guests Alexandru Bălășescu (anthropologist), Diana Mărgărit (political scientist), Eugen Pănescu (architect and urban planner) and Bogdan Crețu (literary critic), on the theme of nation, symbols, memory and public space. The debate continues the discussion "Cui aparține națiunea?" ("Who does the nation belong to?") held in Bucharest, and follows on from the exhibition "Sub același steag" ("Under the Same Flag"), which opened on 1 October at Borderline Art Space, as part of the project "În umbra steagului: dialoguri pentru democrație" ("In the Shadow of the Flag: dialogues for democracy").
Free admission; the event is organised by Borderline Art Space through the AltIași Cultural Association, co-funded by AFCN and the Iași City Hall.
