For three days, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University organises the 15th edition of the "Welcome to UAIC" event, dedicated to first-year students, so they can discover the university, their fellow students and the city of Iași. The programme includes information stands about scholarships, accommodation, libraries and international mobility, a welcome package with the Student Guide, guided visits to the "Mihai Eminescu" Central University Library, city tours, "Start in Student Life" workshops, activities and prizes in "La Balenă" park, and mentoring meetings with older students.
The opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year takes place on Saturday, 26 September, from 11:00 am, at the "Mihai Eminescu" Aula Magna. The full programme is available at www.uaic.ro/bun-venit-la-uaic-2026.
