The 5th edition of the Taragot Masterclass takes place in Cluj-Napoca from 19 to 24 October 2026, bringing together taragot players from Romania, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, England and the USA over six days (Monday to Saturday). Participants, from beginners to advanced players, study the performing style of Dumitru Farcas, the Banat style and the repertoire of Maramures, Banat and other regions of Transylvania, under the guidance of renowned taragot players. From 22 to 24 October, running in parallel, the 8th edition of the Dumitru Farcas Festival also takes place, giving participants the chance to hear some of the most virtuosic performers of the instrument.
