ZIUA MEA NOROCOASA // BUCHAREST NATIONAL THEATRE // 26 OCTOBER

"Ziua mea norocoasă" ("My Lucky Day"), by Patrick Haudecoeur and Gérald Sibleyras, has its national premiere in Bucharest on 26 October 2026, at 7pm (or 8pm, according to another source), at the Bucharest National Theatre, Ion Caramitru Hall. The play, a hit in Paris in 2025 and nominated for two 2025 Molière Awards (best comedy script and best leading actor), tells the story of Sébastien, who remembers a childhood game in which fate was left to the roll of a die, and wonders what would have happened had he got a different result.

The cast includes Medeea Marinescu, Alexandru Papadopol, Marius Manole, Șerban Pavlu and Maria Obretin. Direction is by Toma Dănilă, assistant director Mădălina Ciupitu, set design Mădălina Marinescu, costumes Maria Ștefănescu, and the translation is by Ania Tudoran-Dănilă.
