Nathacha Appanah in Bucharest - book launch and signing session

Editura Trei, the French Institute and the Humanitas Cișmigiu Bookshop (Bd. Regina Elisabeta no. 36) invite you on Thursday, 8 October, at 19:00, to meet writer Nathacha Appanah for the launch of the volume "Cu noaptea în inimă", published in the Fiction Connection collection. The author will talk, in English, with Ioana Bâldea Constantinescu, the discussion moderated by Magdalena Mărculescu, editorial director at Trei, and the event will close with a book-signing session.

The book weaves together the stories of three women who were victims of partner violence, two of whom died, examining the mechanisms of control and the lack of response from state institutions. The event is part of the first edition of Saison Goncourt / Sezonul Goncourt, an annual project dedicated to contemporary French literature, held over three months in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
