Maja Lunde, Jonathan Coe and their translators in Bucharest, in conversation with Alina Purcaru

On Monday, 28 September, from 19:00, the Humanitas Cișmigiu bookshop hosts a meeting with Norwegian writer Maja Lunde and British writer Jonathan Coe, organised by Humanitas Fiction and Polirom publishing houses. Together with their translators, Ivona Berceanu and Radu Paraschivescu, the two authors will discuss with writer and literary critic Alina Purcaru contemporary literature and their most recent novels published in Romanian, 'Stop-cadru' (Humanitas Fiction, 2026) and 'Martorul inocenței mele' (Polirom, 2025), continuing the themes of the meetings held at NOD Festival.
The event opens with remarks from Denisa Comănescu, director of Humanitas Fiction, and Dan Croitoru, editorial director of Polirom.
Admission is free, with a reservation through Eventbook, and the event will be followed by a book-signing session. Consecutive interpretation from English will be provided by Claudia Davidson-Novosivschei.
