Tough hike in RETEZAT: Pietrele Cabin – Lake Gălești – Vf. Mare – Custura Porțile Închise – Vf. Păpușa

Bocanci pe Munte is organising, from Saturday 26 to Monday 28 September 2026, a 2-night, 3-day hiking circuit in the Retezat Mountains, with meeting point at 6:00 in Piața Victoriei, Bucharest. The programme includes a difficult hike (Pietrele Cabin – Lake Gălești – Vf. Mare – Custura Porțile Închise – Vf. Păpușa, 17 km, 1,000 m elevation gain, maximum altitude 2,508 m) and a medium-difficulty one (Scocul Urzicarului – Cheile Urzicarului – the suspended bridge in Dâlma Ciocanelor, 4 km).

The price of 800 lei includes minibus transport, 2 nights' accommodation at Vila Stânișoara (Pietrele Cabin), two dinners with drinks included, breakfast on Monday, coffee, a group guide and a photo/video album; personal expenses and the Retezat National Park visiting fee are not included.
