ctrl LIVE: Imarhan [Algeria]

The Algerian band Imarhan, exponents of the Tuareg desert blues (assouf) sound, will perform on 7 November at Str. Constantin Mille no. 4, Bucharest, as part of the ctrl LIVE series, in the Berlin Room. Active since 2006, the band has collaborated with Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals) and Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), has opened for Kurt Vile and recently released its fourth album, Essam, acclaimed by MOJO, Uncut, The Guardian and other publications.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and the concert starts at 8:00 pm; tickets cost 85 lei + fees (presale), 100 lei + fees (general sale) or 120 lei + fees (at the door). Entry is forbidden to children under 12; minors under 16 need a valid ticket and must be accompanied by a parent holding a ticket, while those between 16 and 18 have access with a valid ticket, though the serving and consumption of alcohol by minors is strictly forbidden.
