The Bucharest International Piano Festival closes on 26 September 2026, from 7:00 pm, at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, with a gala concert given by pianist Khatia Buniatishvili. The programme includes works by Schumann (Fantasia op. 17), Schubert/Liszt, Liszt (Mephisto Waltz No. 1, Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6, Consolation No. 3), Satie (Gymnopédie No. 1), Chopin (Prelude op. 28 no. 4, Scherzo no. 3 op. 39) and Bach (Air from Suite No. 3, BWV 1068).
