Classix Lab 2026 begins at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest on 3 October 2026 at 19:00 with the concert Spectrum. On stage are the pianist Dragoș Andrei Cantea (RO/NO) and the international wind quintet V Coloris (DK): Ștefan Diaconu on flute, Felicia-Gabriela Greciuc on oboe, Jonas Frølund on clarinet, Niklas Kallsoy Mouritsen on horn and Constantin Barcov on bassoon. The event is presented by Marius Constantinescu.
The programme includes Divertisment rustic by Vasile Jianu, Trio "Gassenhauer" for clarinet, bassoon and piano, Op. 11 by Ludwig van Beethoven, the Sextet FP 100 by Francis Poulenc and Romanian Rhapsody No. 1 by George Enescu, in a new arrangement for wind quintet and piano by Ștefan Diaconu, receiving its world premiere.
Classix Lab is a national programme of education, artistic production and professional development, taking place in October–November 2026 in Bucharest, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara and Arad, with 5 concerts, 20 masterclasses, 4 workshops, 8 cultural management sessions and 5 panels.
