Altın Gün – Garip Tour | 10 November @ Fratelli Studio 1

On 10 November, from 19:00, the Dutch band Altın Gün performs at Fratelli Studio 1 in Bucharest as part of their international "Garip" tour, bringing their signature blend of Turkish folk, funk and psychedelic rock.

Based in Amsterdam, the band debuted in 2018 with the album On, standing out with wah-wah effects and organ inspired by 1970s Anatolian psych-funk (Barış Manço, Erkin Koray), and with the album Yol (2021) they added electronic rhythms and 1980s dream-pop influences.

Their new album, Garip, is a tribute to the Turkish poet and musician Neşet Ertaş, and frontman Erdinç Eçevit, whose parents come from the same region of Turkey as Ertaş, describes the project as a return to his roots; bassist Jasper Verhulst considers it the band's most eclectic album.

The event is organised by KIMARO Entertainment and DokStation, and tickets are available on get-in.ro: 119 lei (early-bird, first 200 tickets, until 21 June), 145 lei (presale, 22 June – 13 September), 169 lei (from 14 September) and 199 lei (on the day of the event) at full price, 69 lei reduced ticket for pupils and students (limited to 100 tickets, with proof of status), free for children under 6 accompanied by a paying adult, and free for people with disabilities and one companion, as provided by law, by request to info@kimaro.ro no later than 7 days before the event.
