JAZZx FORWARD is an international event for emerging artists, festival directors, bookers and music industry professionals, taking place from 22 to 24 October 2026 at FABER, Timișoara, with free admission. For its first edition, 12 emerging projects were selected from a total of 364 applications from 68 countries, covering contemporary jazz, soul, R&B, rap, spoken word and alt-pop: Amphitrio, Azamiah, Brekky Boy, Emile Londonien, Hania Derej Trio, Jamie Leeming, Kuna Maze, Nagy Emma Quintet, ńoko, TABI3A, Tilda Maplestone and Treetops.
The project is funded by the Timișoara Municipality through the Project Centre, supported by UniCredit Bank Romania, Music Service and Bosch Romania, and developed by the PLAI Cultural Centre.
