 il Racoviță 21 in Cluj-Napoca. The theme of this edition is "The Novel i
 n an Unequal World" and it examines how unequal positions within the world
  literary system shape the novel\, looking at how peripheral and semi-peri
 pheral locations influence literary production\, formal repertoires\, genr
 e systems\, the circulation and canonisation of works\, and how novels rec
 ord\, negotiate or contest these asymmetries. The concept of "periphery" i
 s used not as a vague synonym for marginality or cultural backwardness\, b
 ut as an analytical category for the historical relations through which li
