Opening | Wanda Mihuleac "Anomalie" @ Combinatul Fondului Plastic, Bucharest

The opening of the exhibition "Anomalie", dedicated to the French-Romanian artist Wanda Mihuleac, takes place on Saturday 26 September, from 18:00, at Combinatul Fondului Plastic in Bucharest (29 Băiculești Street); from 19:00 there follows the performance "Timp", a choreographic piece by Liliana Iorgulescu, with Diana Chiripuci as performer. The exhibition, touring courtesy of GLORIÆ Gallery after being shown in Craiova, can be visited from 26 September to 31 October 2026, and is curated by Ruxandra Demetrescu, who offers a cross-cutting journey through decades of the artist's work, from drawing and engraving to photography, collage, three-dimensional objects and installations.

Born in 1946 in Bucharest and based in Paris since 1988, Wanda Mihuleac is a graduate of the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts and of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has held 28 solo exhibitions since 1973, in cities such as Paris, Marseille, Strasbourg, Bucharest, Timișoara, Athens, Tokyo, New York, Geneva, Rome and Venice, and has exhibited at institutions including the Centre Pompidou, the Grand Palais and the Venice Biennale. She is the founder of the Parisian publishing house Transignum and is known for interdisciplinary projects that link visual art with literature and philosophy.

The event is part of a broader curatorial project, alongside the exhibition "Democrația senzorială" organised by the Craiova Art Museum, which presents works in a variety of visual media (fine art, installations, video art, filmed performances, artist's books) focused on the role of the senses in artistic experience.
